Hand knotted pile carpet made with all natural dyes, handcarded, handspun wool, and finely woven with 150kpi. Asymmetrically knotted as is the tradition with the Ersari weavers who created this rug. This weaving project originated during the time these Turkmen people lived as refugees in Pakistan. Now most have moved back to their homelands in the north of Afghanistan where this carpet was woven. All weaving takes place in individual weaver’s homes. Proceeds from the sale of this rug benefit Barakat; helping communities thrive by providing education in rug weaving countries. These wide runners are know as kelleh size or gallery runners.
