Oushak

This hand knotted pile rug is made using natural dyes and handspun wool. This rug is woven with the look and feel of an old Turkish Oushak rug with a textured weave and fleecy wool as found on old pieces. Weaving takes place in the northern areas of Afghanistan, the home of the Turkmen people and the weaving of these rugs taking place in individual family homes.
