Hand knotted pile carpet made with all natural dyes, hand carded, handspun wool, and finely woven with around 140kpi and a tribal Verneh design. Asymmetrically knotted as is the tradition with the Ersari weavers who created this rug. Sourced from a small cottage industry style production in villages in the north of Afghanistan. All weaving takes place in individual weaver’s homes on their schedule with multiple generations often sharing the same loom.
