Turkman Kilim

This handmade vintage kilim rug is flat woven in a tapestry weave and made entirely of wool from Youmut Turkmen weavers. These kilims are know as pallas kilims in the trade and they are woven in a sturdy  supplementary weft technique similar to a soumac weave. Kilim rugs are a personal favorite of mine as I am drawn to the archaic designs that have changed little over the centuries. A real authentic and beautiful tribal kilim rug!
