Tree Rug

This hand knotted pile rug is made using 100% natural dyes and handspun wool. This rug is woven with around 90kpi. The lovely design of this richly colored rug was inspired by a NW Persian village carpet. Weaving for the rug takes place in the northern areas of Afghanistan, the home of the Turkmen people. Carpet weaving is perhaps the most essential and revered cultural activity for Turkmen; something which traditionally all women take part in.
