This finely hand knotted pile carpet is made with natural dyes and handspun wool from fine Karakul wool. The unique and powerful tree design of this rug come from the Kazak weaving district of the Caucuses. This rug comes to us from the James Opie Collection. James is an author and expert in antique Persian Tribal rugs. Recently, he has commissioned some of his favorite antique designs to be newly woven in Northern Afghanistan. These are simply the very best tribal rugs woven anywhere today! Sublime, rich, saturated colors and sturdy weave of around 100kpi.
