Shrub Rug

This hand knotted pile rug is made using natural dyes and handspun wool. This rug is woven with around 100kpsi and a Kurdish shrub design made especially for the Nomad Rugs team. Weaving takes place in the northern areas of Afghanistan, the home of the Turkmen people. Carpet weaving is perhaps the most essential and revered cultural activity for Turkmen; something which traditionally all women take part in.
