Shirvan

Hand knotted pile carpet made with all natural dyes, handcarded, handspun wool, and woven with 90kpi. Asymmetrically knotted as is the tradition with the Ersari weavers who created this rug. This weaving project originated during the time these Turkmen people lived as refugees in Pakistan. Now most have moved back to their homelands in the north of Afghanistan where this carpet was woven. All weaving takes place in individual weaver’s homes.
