This finely hand knotted pile carpet is made with natural dyes and handspun wool from fine Karakul wool. This rug comes to us from the James Opie Collection. James is an author and expert in antique Persian Tribal rugs. Recently, he has commissioned some of his favorite antique designs to be newly woven in Northern Afghanistan. These are simply the very best tribal rugs woven anywhere today! Sublime, rich, saturated colors and fine weaving up to around 200kpi. This handsome design is a Qashqai Shekarlu tribal design.
