This hand knotted pile rug is made using 100% natural dyes and handspun wool. This rug is woven with around 120kpi. The lovely tribal rug with stylized trees, goats and pictorial landscape was inspired by a Luri tribal gabbeh rug. Weaving for the rug takes place in the northern areas of Afghanistan, the home of the Turkmen people where the art of weaving is reverently passed on from mother to daughter with the weaving of these rugs taking place in individual family homes.
