This finely hand knotted pile carpet is made with natural dyes and handspun wool from hardy Ghazni wool. This rug comes to us from the James Opie Collection. James is an author and expert in antique Persian Tribal rugs. Recently, he has commissioned some of his favorite antique designs to be newly woven in Northern Afghanistan. These are simply the very best tribal rugs woven anywhere today! Sublime, rich, saturated colors and sturdy weave of around 100kpi. This lovely rug has the iconic tribal motifs and whimsical animals as those found in antique Khamseh rugs.
