Dastarkhan

This hand made kilim rug is flat woven in a tapestry weave technique. This dastarkhan rug was woven by a Belouch tribal weaver. Rugs in this size were often used as meal rugs or table cloths that are typically spread out on the ground for placing the various dishes of a communal meal.
