Recently we have been receiving some interesting kilim rugs with a distinctly modernist look. I have always been a big fan of kilim rugs. Their flat woven technique lends itself to more graphic and bold geometric designs.
Kilim carpets were particularly popular in the 80’s and 90’s but recently there seems to be a new interest in these wonderful carpets. We are well stocked in kilims of all shapes and sizes. But, this new group of modernist kilims really interest me. Here are a few examples. I hope you like them too.
