Tulu rugs (pronounced “two-lou”) are wonderful thick shaggy silky modern/tribal rugs! They are hard to classify. They are not really “modern” rugs but they look very modern. In fact, this style of rug is thought to be the predecessor of all knotted pile rugs. But they are not really “tribal” rugs either although they also look very tribal. In any event, they are beautiful! We just picked up a nice batch from our friends in Konya, Turkey. The mohair used in these rugs is absolutely superb: silky and strong and radiant! Only the superior winter coats of the angora sheep are used for this production of rugs. And, these rugs can be custom ordered in any size to fit your home! Stop by to check them out. Thanks for looking! Chris
