Soft Shirazi

Hand knotted pile rug made using natural dyes and handspun wool. This rug is woven with around 90kpsi and a lovely Shirazi medallion design that was commissioned for the Nomad Rugs team. An unusual soft color palate was used in the rendering of this lovely rug. Weaving takes place in the northern areas of Afghanistan where the art of weaving is reverently passed on from mother to daughter with the weaving of these rugs taking place in individual family homes.
