Soft Serapi

Hand knotted pile rug made using natural dyes and handspun wool. This rug is woven with around 90kpsi and a lovely Serapi medallion design that was commissioned for the Nomad Rugs team. A soft palate and rich texture come together in this lovely textile. Weaving takes place in the northern areas of Afghanistan where the art of weaving is reverently passed on from mother to daughter with the weaving of these rugs taking place in individual family homes.
