Sangusko Rug

This hand knotted pile rug is made using natural dyes and handspun wool; commissioned by the Nomad Rugs design team and woven by Turquoise Mt. weavers. Over 900 women in Afghanistan are being supported in this weaving project which creates a sustainable livelihood for weaving families. Fair-trade partner Label STEO audits the production to ensure comprehensive labor standards and environmentally friendly production. This rug features a wonderful Safavid design from a small section of a large rug in the famous Sangusko collection; finely knotted with 160kpi and rich colors. Entirely hand made.
