Hand knotted pile rug made with thick hanspun wool. This fantastic tribal rug design was inspired by an antique Qashai tribal kilim rug. The Qashqai people are known for their richly colored and dynamic kilims. By using this design to make a thick hand knotted carpet with a chunky weave of around 40kpi we have created a uniquely beautiful textile. The thick knotting  and soft handspun wool plus rich colors give this rug a “modern primitive” feel. The rug is both timelessly tribal and progressively modern.
