Pink Tiger

This thick hand knotted pile rug is made using handspun wool and custom made expressly for the Nomad Rugs team. This rug is woven in homage of the famous antique Tibetan Tiger rugs. In times past, tiger rugs (which were linked to tantric beliefs) were often gifted to the lamas in remote Tibetan monasteries.  The tiger motif was thought to protect the person during meditation. This new rug was modeled on an antique rug and is woven with around 40kpi. The coarse knotting along with the long silky soft handspun wool and rich dyes give this rug a warm and cosy feel.
