Hand knotted pile rug made with handspun wool and mostly natural un-dyed wool with some dyed wool accent colors. In Persian, gabbeh means unclipped or “in-the-raw”; an apt description for these thick, whimsical gems of tribal art. Their thick wool made for ideal insulation against the desert whose temperatures fluctuate from extreme hot and cold. Earlier iterations of these rugs were rather folkloric and naïve. This piece has the whimsical design of an antique Luri gabbeh and it was specially commissioned exclusively for Nomad Rugs. FREE Shipping and Easy Returns.
