Hand knotted pile rug made using all long shag handspun wool. This wonderful carpet is modeled after an antique Moroccan tribal rug. It is knotted in a textured weave with rows of flat woven kilim between rows of hand knotted pile at around 40kpsi. This coarse knotting along with the kilim weave gives a wonderful texture and “modern tribal” feel. Inspired by the many wonderful tribal rugs of the Berber weavers of Morocco.
