Hand knotted pile carpet made using only handspun wool. This gorgeous rug has a finer weave of around 120kpi. It has the distinct design and colors of a classical Mamluk rug. The Mamluk Sultans (who ruled over Egypt from the 13th to the 16th century) were patrons of the arts and commissioned many fine rugs.
