Kilim Fragment

Circa 1920. This handmade vintage kilim rug is flat woven in a tapestry weave and made entirely of wool and is around 100 years old. Old Anatolian kilims were ofter woven in two narrow halves and subsequently joined in the middle. This is just one half of the kilim and this fragment has lots of holes and lots of wear. Ideally suited to be used as a gorgeous wall decoration. Kilim rugs are a personal favorite of mine as I am drawn to the archaic designs that have changed little over the centuries.
