Kazak

Skilled Afghan weavers produce these colorful hand knotted pile carpets with handspun wool. The handspun Ghazni wool used in these pieces combined with the dying process gives the carpets a wonderful abrash. The designs are modeled on antique Caucasian rugs and their name is taken from the Kazak weaving district located in the Caucuses. I love these colorful and informal tribal rugs!
