Ivory Gabbeh

This hand knotted pile rug is made using un-dyed natural handspun wool pile. In Persian, gabbeh means raw, unclipped or in-the-rough; an apt description for these thick, whimsical gems of tribal art. Their thick wool made for ideal insulation against the desert whose temperatures fluctuate from extreme hot and cold.
