A thick, hand knotted pile carpet made with entirely hand carded and handspun wool. This rug with it’s unique horseshoe-esque shapes is one of a collection of rugs designed by American artists. These designs are delivered to the Tibetan weavers in their Nepali workshop. The result: transcendental rugs that meld traditional techniques and modern design. I think they have succeeded in their mission “to combine the ancient art of Tibetan hand-knotting with original, contemporary design to create an evolving collection of rugs crafted with structural and artistic integrity.” This rug is available in all standard size.
