Heriz Medallion

Hand knotted pile rug made using natural dyes and handspun wool. This rug is woven with around 100kpsi and a stunning medallion Heriz design made with rich colors and commissioned for the Nomad Rugs team. Wonderful red background color works perfectly with the colorful accent colors. Weaving takes place in the northern areas of Afghanistan where the art of weaving is reverently passed on from mother to daughter with the weaving of these rugs taking place in individual family homes.
