A thick, hand knotted pile carpet made with entirely hand carded and handspun wool. Subtle variations of color in the Filigree design of this rug delight the eye. This rug is one of a collection of rugs designed by American artists. These designs are delivered to the Tibetan weavers in their Nepali workshop. The result: transcendental rugs that meld traditional techniques and modern design. I think they have succeeded in their mission “to combine the ancient art of Tibetan hand-knotting with original, contemporary design to create an evolving collection of rugs crafted with structural and artistic integrity.” This rug is available in all standard size.
