Hand knotted pile rug rug made using natural dyes and handspun wool and pure silk highlights. The knotting is over 90kpsi. This rug comes features a Mamluk design with a contemporary twist; some design elements are skillfully “erased” in the design process revealing the background color. This striking rug has a design inspired by rugs commissioned for Mamluk Sultans in their court workshops centuries ago.
