Crackle Heriz

This hand knotted pile rug is made with all handspun wool and bamboo silk highlights. It was woven in a small cottage industry weaving project were all weaving takes place in individual weaver’s homes. The classic medallion motif of a Heriz design is enhanced by fine “crackle” lines woven in bamboo silk reminiscent of crackle finish glazes on pottery.
