Caravan Kilim

This hand made kilim rug is flat woven in a tapestry weave and made entirely of handspun Afghan wool. These wonderfully elegant rug are use soft pastel colors as well as natural variations of un-dyed wool. These are woven by Uzbek weavers in central Afghanistan near the city of Maimana. The archaic designs have changed little over the centuries. But the use of soft colors has updated these kilims for the modern home.
