Moghul Flowers

This hand knotted pile rug is made using 100% natural dyes and handspun wool and handspun silk. The white flowers are pure silk. All other colors are wool. This stunning rug is woven in a finer weave of around 150kpi. The beautiful design is a modern adaptation of classical Moghul flowers. Blooming lotus and other flowers were a favorite design motif of Moghul artists. Moghul rulers were particularly proud of their luscious gardens which were designed in a Persian fashion. The colors and weave on this carpet are absolutely gorgeous!
